John Gaskin

Managing Director

John heads Mint MEP Design and leads a culture where talented design engineers can produce well-considered work for clients. He ensures that Mint MEP’s three tenets of performance, buildability and sustainability guide our design strategies and practical design schemes.

John provides direction at senior level to ensure that all projects are run effectively and to a high professional standard. He remains in tune with the client’s requirements in terms of service and delivery, throughout each assignment.

Ryan Hastings, BSc (Hons) LCIBSE

Associate Director

With more than 20 years’ experience, Ryan leads mechanical engineering design at Mint MEP. He provides a forward-thinking approach to the design of energy efficient systems, drawing upon his in-depth experience, professional training and the latest innovations.

As a key Director at Mint MEP, Ryan is an advocate of MEP design which not only meets client requirements but is also practical for installing engineers to implement. His creative and robust thinking has informed sensible, sustainable, buildable solutions across a multitude of different building environments.

John Clarke


Company director, John, has 38 years’ experience within the building services industry. Primarily responsible for Mint MEP’s operational activities, he drives ongoing business development and project delivery. John is an accomplished resource manager, getting the best from engineering professionals and company budgets.

John understands clients’ requirements from inception, and ensures those expectations are surpassed. His expertise in the buildability of building services ensures the design information for each project is practical. Our close client relationships reflect John’s commitment to achieving their goals.


Associate Health and Safety Director

Wesley is the director responsible for coordinating Mint MEP’s Health & Safety compliance procedures. He understands building services design and construction environments. The standards he sets ensure that the projects we deliver protect the safety of the people they involve and serve. This in turn safeguards the reputation and commercial standing of clients.

In his role, Wesley takes responsibility for managing our Safe Contractor accreditation. He leads this stringent assessment which provides evidence of Mint MEP’s high Health & Safety standards and compliance with legal requirements.

Peter Hay, BEng (Hons) CEng MCIBSE MIET

Associate Electrical Engineer

Peter is a founding Director at Mint MEP and leads electrical engineering design. For over 20 years, he has applied his knowledge to resolve technically demanding and logistically complex projects. Whatever the challenge, Peter will identify the best way forward.

With experience in leading, implementing and managing design projects, Peter’s expertise covers a huge variety of different construction projects. He consistently provides design solutions which reveal his flair for buildable systems which optimise energy efficiency.

Wayne Osborne,

Associate Electrical Engineer

Wayne has over 25 years’ experience in building services design. When it comes to meticulous surveys, performance calculations and detailed schemes, Wayne provides solid know-how and sound integrity.

With his unerring focus on the client’s requirements, construction practicality and environmental standards, Wayne provides valuable design expertise in MEP, BMS, specialist and safety systems.
